We are seeking a FP&A/Commercial Finance Manager who will be responsible for development of annual financial and long-term strategic plans for our rapidly growing company.
The FP&A/Commercial Finance Manager will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting on business performance, recommending changes to improve performance and partnering with sales and operations leadership in designing terms for commercial contracts, as well as developing business cases for new investments and initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Company-wide development of financial plans, including budgets and forecasts
- Analyze and report on business performance, including revenue, gross profit and OPEX
- Utilize BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on monthly financials results to senior management
- Review operations and recommend new productivity, revenue generation & cost saving initiatives
- Deliver competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the leadership team
- Prepare business cases to support new investments and/or strategic initiatives
- Lead role in advising sales and operations leaders on terms for commercial arrangements
- Prepare weekly update of 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast
- Support the sales department in preparing forecasts and contract assessments
- Partner with the operations team to analyze and forecast unit level profitability
- Supervise staff of corporate and/or divisional financial analysts
- Work closely with the Sr. leadership team to formulate long term financial and strategic plans
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
Core Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
- 5-10 years’ experience in the financial planning & analysis / commercial finance function
- Demonstrated experience working as an FP&A/commercial finance leader
- Superior spreadsheet and database skills
- High proficiency in building financial models for business cases and commercial arrangements
- Experience working in a multi-company and multi-currency environment
- Impeccable spreadsheet and power point proficiency, organization, problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic
- Excellent commercial finance knowledge with proven application in complex corporate environments
- Strong leadership skills, big picture approach to tasks and the ability to communicate complex topics in concise explanations
